Meet ALan Hannah

For over 25 years, Alan Hannah has served in full-time ministry as a pastor in Virginia, Texas, and Pennsylvania. His journey has been marked by a commitment to authentic, spirit-led preaching that connects theological depth with practical application, a style rooted in his background in worship arts and his natural ability to relate to people from all walks of life. While his primary focus is now teaching and leadership, he is still occasionally asked to lead worship, a reminder of where his ministry journey began.

Since January 2020, Alan has served as the eighth Lead Pastor of ACAC [Allegheny Center Alliance Church] in Pittsburgh's North Side. This 130-year-old congregation is known for its remarkable diversity, bringing together people across ethnic, generational, socioeconomic, and political lines in the heart of Pittsburgh. In leading this large congregation and staff, Alan is focused on creating a community where authenticity and excellence work together to help people encounter God and grow in their faith.

Alan is passionate about developing leaders at every level. He actively coaches pastors, provides guest speaking and teaching for churches and organizations, and invests in emerging leaders who will shape the future of the church. His approach combines practical wisdom gained from decades of ministry experience with a genuine desire to see others thrive in their purpose and calling.

In 2014, Alan earned his Master of Divinity from Liberty University Theological Seminary, building on his undergraduate degree in Organizational & Interpersonal Communication from Oral Roberts University. He serves the broader Pittsburgh community as a Board member for the Pittsburgh Leadership Foundation and continues his connection with ORU as a member of the Alumni Association Board of Directors.

Alan and his wife Tara have two children, Alex and Kadyn. When he's not preaching, coaching, or writing, you'll likely find him cheering his favorite sport’s teams [Pittsburgh Steelers, Indiana Pacers, and Pittsburgh Penguins] or pursuing his passion for golf during Pittsburgh's summer months.
